Organize & Cite
RefWorks* is a tool that provides you with the capability to store and organize your research materials. You can export citations from databases and web sites, annotate, create bibliographies, and footnote from these tools. *Be sure to access the database via the Yale server when off campus. Search Library Databases
1) Search CSA databases - Sociological Abstracts,* Worldwide Political Science Abstracts,* and PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service) International* - for journal articles, book chapters, and more. Look for the Yale Links button to connect to full text.
*Sociological Abstracts - indexes journals, book chapters, working papers and websites; covers 1963-present
*Worldwide Political Science Abstracts - indexes and provides abstracts from over 1000 journals; covers 1975-present
*PAIS - indexes journals, books, govt. publications, statistical directories and reports; publications from more than 60 countries in six languages; covers 1960-present
2) Search CQ Researcher for full-text, nonpartisan, analytical reports; notes and bibliographies are excellent pointers to more sources.
Legal and Policy Sources
- LexisNexis Academic: Law Reviews and Journals Scholarly articles on law and legal topics. Searches the full text of articles, so use narrow keywords and/or sort results by relevance in order to manage size of results set.
- LexisNexis Academic: Federal and State Cases Federal and state case law; includes majority opinions, decisions, and orders with associated concurring and dissenting opinions.
- LexisNexis Congressional Use especially to find Congressional committee hearings and reports.
